Beta Test Program

Beta Test Program

NOTE – Entries for the Beta Test Program are now closed. Thank you! If you are interested in future betas, you can still send in your interest to our email and we can put you on the list for the next Beta (if there is one).

Following our announcement on the 24th September 2018, our beta test program for keen early-adopters is well underway!

The first batch of Beta Test Units shipped out to people on the first week of February 2019.

Who is this for? Why?
These people are those who are most interested in the capabilities and main product feature (custom sounds when shooting) and aren’t too worried about final build quality and extra features (yet).
The aim is to get a fully functioning PEQ and sensor unit into your hands, with the core capabilities available so people can start to play around with it and we can get a community forum started to collaborate on high quality sound effects (serious and silly ones).
If you are part of an Airsoft team, It is highly recommend that a group of you each get a unit because the possibilities of having multiple units makes for a more interesting result.

There is an initial limit of 50 places – first come first served.

  • PEQ sound unit. Note there will be no laser or navigation LED on this unit.
  • Sensor with tracer functionality
  • Free technical support, replacements, and firmware updates as new features are developed.
  • Special access to the forum, special forum ‘founding member’ tag
  • 50% off the final production quality unit when it’s ready. – NEW REQUIREMENT: MUST SEND THE BETA UNIT BACK TO US TO GET THE 50% OFF
  • A chance to help a new product come to life, providing feedback and awareness from your use of it on the battlefield!

What is required to join the program?

These units are expensive to make, especially in low volumes. To cover materials costs of building these beta test units, I will need a contribution of $95 USD (75 GBP) plus shipping of 4 GBP for EU/UK and 10 GBP ($12 USD) for International and some lead time to purchase, assemble, test, and ship the units – subject to batches being produced.

Payments can be made via PayPal or similar e-transfer method (UK bank transfer and Canada Interac e-transfer available if PayPal not suitable).

Other expectations of Beta Testers

It is expected (but not required, of course) that beta testers try to actively take part in the community forum (to help each other make or find cool sounds to use), and spreading the word to others about the product.
Users who go above and beyond will be rewarded with additional test units, special roles on the forums (moderators, etc) and other signs of appreciation.
If you just want to get a custom sound device early and to just have some fun with it on your own, that’s fine too.
